Car crashes are the leading cause of death and disabling injury to children in the United States. 

   95% of children’s car seats are dangerously misused and not installed properly. 

   81% of parents think they have their children’s car seats installed correctly, when in fact they have not.

   Expired and defective car seats endanger the lives of children. 

   According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) everyday, on average, in the United States four children (0-14) are killed and another 556 are injured in motor vehicle crashes.  Most of these deaths and injuries can be prevented.
